Garden of Life, Inc. has launched The Vitamin Code, a dietary supplement line created completely from raw food derived nutrients. The raw vitamins deliver living enzymes and probiotics and are uncooked, untreated and unadulterated without added binders and fillers. In addition, the vitamins are 100 per cent vegan and do not contain any soy allergens, gluten, dairy or fructose. Even so, despite the fact that the fruits and vegetables used in the production of the vitamins are certified organic, the finished product is not certified organic.
The Vitamin Code features six targeted formulas: Women's, Women 50 and Wiser, Men's, Men 50 and Wiser, Family formula for adults as well as children six and older, and the Perfect Weight formula for those looking to effectively manage their weight. With the exception of the Perfect Weight formula that is momentarily exposed to high heat, all ingredients are 100 per cent active and have not been subjected to high heat used in some tablet manufacturing processes.
"The Vitamin Code delivers nutrients in a form that nature provides and that the body thrives upon," explained Jordan Rubin, founder and CEO of Garden of Life and author of The Maker's Diet and 18 other health titles. Rubin said that the raw makeup of the vitamins allows them to be recognized as food by the body, once taken.
Playing a pivotal role in the product's development was Endre "Andy" Szalay, a Hungarian pharmacist with over 30 years of experience and research in discovering ways to reconnect vitamins and minerals to the food from which they originate.
Vitamin Code products have a suggested retail price of $39.95 for a 120-count bottle, but Rubin stressed that the higher price tag (as compared to more traditionally manufactured supplements) is worth it. |
